“We are now starting to use refurbished computers from Digital Pipeline in our schools, as we feel that including refurbs into our model, will reduce the cost of implementing ICT in schools, allowing theMinistry to do more with less.”

Johan van Wyck - Deputy Director, Information Technology Ministry of Basic Education Sport and Culture, Namibia.

MORE INFORMATION

Refurbishment extends the lives of useful computers that are no longer needed by some, so that others can benefit from using them. A well maintained refurbished computer can be expected to provide 3 years of use for beneficiaries.

Become a Beneficiary

Registered not-for-profit organisations, schools and other educational institutions in developing and developed countries can apply for Digital Pipeline PCs.

Digital Pipeline PCs are refurbished to high quality standards so they are ready for use by Beneficiaries. All PCs are supplied with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and cables and are ready to run with an operating system legally installed.

Digital Pipeline PCs are only available from DP Deployment Agents who can also provide services that Beneficiaries may need like installation, training and support.

Costs for Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries pay a Digital Pipeline administration fee of £5 for every PC that is provided to them by their Deployment Agent and must also pay the Deployment Agent’s shipping and handling fees.

Beneficiaries are also expected to pay for any additional services or software that they ask their Deployment Agent to provide.
