Computers 4 Africa’s prime directive is to provide IT equipment to schools and community projects across Africa, by repurposing redundant equipment donated from the UK.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Malaika Kids, based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, their work is crucial among the vulnerable street children; many have been orphaned or left homeless because of poverty or disability. They support relatives to adopt children wherever possible, or by giving them a home in their Children’s Village in Mkuranga.
Both Malaika Kids and Computers 4 Africa are most grateful to the POST OFFICE for their generosity in donating over 200 laptops and are looking forward to further donations as the refresh is ‘rolled out’ in the coming months. The donated equipment was delivered to Computers 4 Africa headquarters in Kent where it has been refurbished and loaded with an operating system before being dispatched to Naivasha, Kenya & Dar es Salaam.
Once in-country they will educate the next generation of citizens giving real opportunities for career choices and to prosper in the global E-conomy..
We are helping Africa “one-person-at-a-time” and we do it with “one-computer-at-a-time”….. that’s why one computer can change someone’s world.
